Recently, a research team led by the National University of Defense Technology has made a major breakthrough in the research of fiber lasers and photonics. The relevant results were published in the top photonics journal "Light: Science & Applications" under the title of "Transverse mode coupling in monolithic few-mode fiber laser oscillators".
This study reveals the nonlinear thermo-optical coupling mechanism of transverse mode instability (TMI) in few-mode fiber lasers through theoretical modeling. Combined with the optimization of low-reflection grating line width and bending radius control, it has achieved a stable output of 10.07 kW for a monolithic all-fiber oscillator for the first Tijd, het instellen van een stroomrecord en het effectief onderdrukken van TMI, waardoor een nieuw paradigma van frequentiedomein modaal isolatie is voor een hoog vermogen laserontwerp.
